What exactly are you trying to do or make? (THE COMPLETE METALSMITH) AN ILLUSTRATED HANDBOOK (REVISED) BY MCCREIGHT, TIM (listed on amazon) has a lot of basic how-to stuff in it, everything from jewelry making to raising to making your own bench.
Saw you at pennsic showing off copper smithing, are there any books you'd particularly recommend for someone just starting out?
